At Guitarlina School of Music, we’re very proud to be able to offer guitar and ukulele lessons because of the versatility of the instruments as well as the endless possibilities it avails the student who who learns to play them.

Frequently Asked Questions
At what age can my child start learning to play the guitar/ukulele?
Guitarlina School of Music offers guitar lessons to students ages 7 and up and ukulele lessons to students 4 and above.
What will my child learn?
At Guitarlina School of Music, your child will learn music theory, music techniques specific to the instrument of choice and if interested how to sing and play the students musical instrument of choice.
How long will it take for my child to learn to play the guitar/ukulele?
Learning to play a musical instrument is a lifelong investment. However, It all depends on how much time the student is able to dedicate to practicing. At Guitarlina, we do teach music at your child’s pace, so we work with your child to ensure they’re growing, learning, and are able to comfortably perform on their instrument..
Do we have to have a guitar at home to take guitar/ukulele lessons?
The short answer for this questions is yes. We recommend that you have an acoustic or electric guitar at home (an ukulele if you’re interested in ukulele lessons). This is because we do expect our students to spend some time practicing at least for 10-15 minutes a day on the guitar.
How many classes are offered per week and for how long?
All our lessons are one-on-one classes for beginners. We also do provide group lessons for more advanced students of no more that 4 students in a class (group lessons are scheduled upon availability). Our one-on-one classes are for 30 minutes long while our group lessons are for one hour long. All our lessons are held once a week, four times a month.
Do you offer make up lessons in case I can’t attend my class?
We do offer make up lessons for free. All make up lessons can either be scheduled by the student or parent through our online scheduling system or can be scheduled by our staff on the 5th week of every month. We require that parents/students schedule a make up class immediately following a class cancellation for non-attendance. We do require a 24 hour notice (except for emergencies) for any class cancellation to guarantee a free make up class.
How much are music lessons?
Music lessons at Guitarlina School of Music are $170 per month. Fees are automatically debited on the 3rd day of every month for your convenience.
Do you offer sibling/family discounts?
Yes, we do offer a $10 discount for each additional family member that has enrolled in our school.
Are there any contracts that must be signed?
No, at Guitarlina School of Music, we don’t have any contracts. We only required a full month of notice for any cancellations. Our classes are on a month-to-month basis. We do have terms or agreements that helps the parents/guardian know what to expect from Guitarlina School of Music and what we do expect from our families as well.
